Following a successful installation, the OPUS commissioning team and senior technical personnel worked closely with Sheela Foam to wet commission the new Vertifoam VPF machine, making the first box foams just before Diwali, the festival of light.
The foam produced was a very good atmospheric polyether of 15 density with a cell count of 62 PPI. Using high pressure technology for the first time on a vertifoam machine.
The team will now continue to commission the VPF machine, airlock and blower systems ready for the first vacuum foaming trials.
