The VPF™ process is based on continuous foaming in an airtight enclosure, where flexible foams are produced under controlled atmospheric conditions of under or overpressure.

The VPF™ process requires no auxiliary blowing agents, such as Methylene Chloride, Acetone etc. These blowing agents are replaced by the effects of vacuum.

The foaming gases given off during the VPF™ process, are very small in volume and can be filtered through an activated carbon filter which makes the process completely clean, exceeding the most stringent environmental regulations by far.

VPF Vertifoam

VPF V Mock_edited.png

The VPF-V Process is a state of the art approach to the production of high quality Foams for the Furniture and Bedding Industries.

It combines the Industry -Leading Variable Pressure Foaming System, VPF, with the well proven and highly efficient Vertifoam Slabstock Process.

Vertifoam is a unique slabstock process which produces very high yield round and rectangular foam blocks by a continuous moulding process. Vertifoam machines have been in full commercial production in countries all over the world for the last 30 years.

VPF Purblock

The PURBlock Process is a discontinuous system for the production of single blocks of slabstock foam under variable pressure conditions.

PURBlock is a unique system for single blocks where the mould box itself is the vacuum/pressure chamber.

PURBlock includes Opus’ advanced design mixing system that gives improved cell structure and a specially designed mould base , based on the Maxfoam principle that is automatically lowered during foaming to give flat topped blocks and improved chemical distribution

VPF Lab Equipment

Lab and Prototype Equipment.jpg

This Equipment is a unique process that allows the manufacture of single blocks of polyurethane Polyether foam under variable pressure conditions.

The blocks are made under pressure controlled conditions (partial vacuum or pressure) in an enclosure designed to withstand the variable pressure conditions.

Chemical mixing and Foaming dispense takes place manually outside the Pressure Chamber. The equipment can be used to make small sample blocks in a mould. Blocks upto 24 x 16 x 9 inch (600 x 400 x 225 mm) can be made.
